About

My Approach

INDIVIDUAL THERAPY I am passionate about healing the whole self, uncovering the roots of past core injuries, and understanding how they affect your present. Equally, I am dedicated to helping you build a fulfilling future by identifying your strengths, capacities, values, and intrinsic motivations. Many people are surprised to realize how often we live according to others’ values, which can prevent us from living authentically. Identifying these core components is the first step toward embedding them in your daily life and aligning with your true values and strengths. My therapeutic approach is eclectic and person-centered, meaning our work together will be tailored to the unique qualities you bring to the room. As a psychodynamically oriented therapist, I believe each person carries an accumulation of core beliefs, coping mechanisms, and implicit assumptions, shaped by a lifetime of experiences. My goal is to partner with you on a journey of self-discovery, self-knowledge, self-compassion, healing, and acceptance. I invite you to come as you are, bringing curiosity, openness, and a sense of safety as we collaborate to find wholeness and meaning. Therapy is a unique experience for each individual, and I strive to be attentive and responsive to your needs. Together, we will create a therapeutic roadmap that reflects your goals. I draw on disciplines including Positive Psychology, Cognitive Behavior Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Internal Family Systems, Attachment Theory, Bibliotherapy, mindfulness meditation, and more. COUPLES THERAPY In my work with couples, I integrate the Gottman Method, Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), and Imago Relationship Therapy to provide a comprehensive, strengths-based approach to healing and connection. My passion lies in helping couples uncover and heal past core injuries, understanding how these relational and individual wounds influence present dynamics, and building a future aligned with their shared values and unique strengths. Using the Gottman Method, I focus on practical strategies to enhance communication, rebuild trust, and manage conflict effectively. This evidence-based approach provides tools to identify and interrupt negative cycles while fostering emotional intimacy and mutual respect. From the perspective of EFT, I emphasize the role of attachment in relationships, helping couples identify and transform negative interaction patterns. By exploring the deeper emotions underlying conflict and disconnection, I guide couples toward creating a secure emotional bond, increasing empathy, and improving their ability to meet each other’s emotional needs. With Imago Therapy, I work to illuminate the ways partners unconsciously trigger each other based on unresolved childhood wounds and unmet needs. Together, we create a safe and compassionate space where each partner can better understand themselves and their partner, deepening their connection and finding ways to grow together. Throughout our work, I invite couples to bring curiosity, vulnerability, and openness to the process. Together, we will work to heal past hurts, enhance connection, and build a relationship that feels secure, fulfilling, and meaningful. ABOUT ME Originally from California, I moved to Washington state and, once my children were older, returned to school to pursue my studies. Over the past eight years, I have worked in a variety of mental health settings, including hospitals, community clinics, Autism treatment centers, and now private practice. These diverse experiences have provided me with expertise in working with different populations and treatment modalities. When I need to de-stress, I love taking nature walks among the trees. The fresh air and greenery are instant balms for my senses. I never tire of the awe-inspiring beauty that surrounds us daily. When I’m not outdoors, I enjoy cozy moments at home reading, watching movies, playing games, and sharing family dinners.
